Mr. and Mrs. Gary E. Koons, Williamsport, observed their 30th wedding anniversary Aug. 21, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Brad Spangenberg at Bethel United Methodist Church. They are members of First Church of Christ (Disciples).
Mrs. Koons, the former Barbara Ann Newcomer, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Frances L. and William A. Newcomer. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1971 and is employed by Susquehanna Health in the social service department as a secretary.

Mr. Koons, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Jean E. and A. Eugene Koons. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1959 and served in the Army. He retired in 2002 from Schneider Valley Farms Dairy.
They are the parents of two daughters, Amy L. Weiser, Chesapeake, Va., and Jessica K. Weidler, Montoursville.
There are nine grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, the couple went on a cruise to Bermuda and a trip to the Finger Lakes in N.Y. is being planned for the fall.
