Vest-Shellman

Vanessa L. Vest and Timothy Jon Shellman, both of Summerville, S.C., were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. April 28, 2012.

They were married by mayor James Haggerty at Woodlands Resort, Wilkes-Barre, where a rehearsal dinner and reception also were held.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Vince Vest, Larksville. She graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School, Plymouth, in 2005, and received a master's degree in rehabilitative sciences from Clarion University in 2010. She is employed by Behavioral Health System, North Charleston, S.C., as a substance abuse counselor.

Shellman is the son of Debra and Timothy Shellman, Cogan Station. He graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in secondary education social studies with a minor in athletic coaching from Clarion University in 2009. He is employed by Berkeley Middle School, Moncks Corner, S.C., as an eighth grade social studies teacher.

Maid of honor was Brittany Hartz, Pittsburgh.

Bridesmaids were Katie Taylor, Harleysville; and Christina Eisner, Williamsport; both cousins of the bridegroom, and Celeste Viteoski, Trucksville; and Emily Gouldstone, Plymouth, both cousins of the bride; and Brittany Ortyl, Pittsburgh.

Flower girl was Aviana Marie Shellman, daughter of the couple.

Ring bearer was Kenneth Acornley, Plymouth, uncle of the bride.

Best man was Tyler Spooner, Williamsport.

Ushers were Kyle Shellman, Cogan Station, brother of the bridegroom; Colin Vest, Larksville, brother of the bride; Joe Niklaus, South Williamsport; Philip Eisner, Dallas, Texas, cousin of the bridegroom; and Charles Roller, Clearfield.

The couple is residing in Summerville, S.C.
