Andrew "Andy" Kline Cohick, 24, of 3161 Rauchtown Road, Jersey Shore, died Friday morning, Aug. 24, 2012, in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Dec. 19, 1987, in Williamsport, he was the son of John P. Cohick and the former Sally A. Hillyard. Andy enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, camping and playing his guitar. He was a talented artist and writer. He was a graduate of the Williamsport High School and for many years he was a member of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jersey Shore. Andy was employed by Jaspar Steel Co. in Williamsport.
He is survived by his mother and father; a brother, Michael J. Cohick, of Long Island N.Y.; a sister, Lori M. (David) Gunsallus, of Mill Hall; one nephew, Emery E. Gunsallus; a maternal grandmother, Josephine T. Hillyard, of Jersey Shore; and a paternal grandmother, Mary K. Cohick, of Williamsport; also his Godparents, Jim and Cindy Moore, of Jersey Shore; and a special friend, Ashlee Blum.
Andy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kline W. Cohick; and his maternal grandfather, Clarence "Hank" Hillyard.
Private family services and burial in the Jersey Shore Cemetery will be held at a later date. Family will provide flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made in his name to the Jersey Shore Public Library, 110 Oliver St. Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
