John C. DiMassimo

John C. DiMassimo, 69, of Cogan Station, passed away peacefully at the Gatehouse on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012.

John was born in Williamsport on Dec. 21, 1942, a son of John and Betty Dewald DiMassimo.

He had been employed as a roofer, was a lifetime member of the NRA and the Keystone League, and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and American Legion post # 1.

John was outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his lifetime companion, Jennifer Wolfe; six children, Donald, John, Ronald, twins Michael and Michelle, and Lauren Louise DiMassimo; brothers, Joseph and Americo DiMassimo; sisters, Dolly Sampson and Shirley Kelly.

In addition to his father, a brother, Melvin, and a sister, Sandra Wingo, preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation or funeral, but a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the Susquehanna Foundation for the benefit of the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
