Jean Callahan Marnon passed away at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. She was the daughter of Charles V. and Nora Murray Callahan.
Jean was born in Williamsport on June 22, 1918.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Marnon Sr., and her granddaughter, Jennifer Marnon.
Surviving are four children, Mary Ann Marnon Hamm (Thomas), of Greensboro, N.C., Thomas J. Marnon Jr. (Blanche), of Williamsport, Dennis C. Marnon, of Grafton, Mass., and Janice Marnon Hersh (Joseph), of Enola, Pa. She leaves 11 beloved grandchildren, Thomas Hamm Jr., Jeannine Hamm, Patrick Hamm, Jeffrey Hamm, Heather Marnon Plocinski, Justin Marnon, Monica Hersh Tierney, Angela Hersh, Melissa Hersh, Johanna Hersh, Savanna Hersh; and 12 adored great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Charles V. Callahan, and sister, Eleanor Callahan Desaulniers, and by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church portico from 9:15 until 10:15 a.m.
