FNB Bank announced recently that it will construct a Corporate Banking Center at the current location of its Williamsport branch that will have many environmentally friendly building features and offer customers expanded services.
The new office, a news release said, will be located on the same site as the Williamsport branch at 1732 E. Third St., Williamsport in the TJ Maxx Shopping Center. The new construction will require the bank to temporarily relocate banking operations on Aug. 13, to a mobile unit on the same site to allow for demolition of the current building. The temporary unit will feature a full-service lobby, drive up, night drop banking and ATM.
The new 3,900 square-foot facility will include motion sensor lighting and a high-efficiency Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. Interior design of the branch will be customer and community focused with LED lighting and an open space concept. Additional services provided will include a coin counting machine, drive-up banking, and drive-up ATM to provide customers with 24-hour banking service.
The new center will be staffed with commercial, mortgage and residential lenders, and an investment representative.
Ronald Poorman, who has managed the branch since 2011, will remain the manager at the new facility. The same banking team, which the news release said, brings a combined 102 years of service, will staff the new Corporate Banking Center.
The decision to build a new facility at the same location was, the news release said, "the most cost effective way to meet all building requirements and provide the most convenience for our customers. Also, by building a new facility in the same community, we are creating construction jobs in the neighborhoods our bank serves."
Hours for the office will remain the same,
