A recent article in Time magazine focused on the tense relationship in Israel between various factions of the Jewish population. One incident in particular stood out.
This incident involved a group of spiritually devout men spitting on an 8 year-old girl and calling her a whore because her parents had not dressed her modestly enough to suit these men. It occurred to me that these same men probably have parents and grandparents who experienced the same treatment in Nazi Germany. Apparently, these men have already forgotten what it is like to be the recipient of such hatred and abuse.
