The Democrats are missing out on a great campaign opportunity to capitalize on the logo they hold so dear. They could really hit the jackpot by placing an image of Joe Biden's face on either end of that donkey he already exemplifies so well.
It's actually embarrassing for me to think that some of his ancestry might possibly come from the same island my family did. As a second generation Irish American, I can remember an age and time in my grandfathers' house, when if as an adult male, you showed up for Sunday cookouts with a slack jaw like Biden's, spontaneous fisticuffs were likely to break out and you'd get some lumps pounded on to you if you weren't careful Cork County style.
The treatment was admittedly a bit rough, but it was the family's old-fashioned way of trying to prevent you from harming yourself through your own stupidity, or far worse than that, commit an act that would, "Dirty the house that raised you"
Unfortunately, it appears the brain damage Biden incurred has reduced his filtering capabilities, causing him to believe he's pretty witty. It won't be that surprising if he ends up asking somebody to "pull my finger" before this campaign is over. "Old Lunch bucket Joe" also puts on like he's a real scrapper, apparently showing enough gusto that at some point he impressed another famous brawler. Barack "The Terrible" Obama. Together they remind me of that 1980's tag team of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, except they aren't funny.
In reality, Biden is a lifelong Bullroar artist, arriving in Washington when our current president was only 11 years old. Biden passed the bar exam at the age of 27 and the following year he was elected to his first public office. Two years later, at age 30, he became a U.S. Senator, and far too many years later in 2008, he became the youngest seven- term Senator in American history. Now 69, some might call that service record impressive; I call it a shamefully typical career path for a Democrat.
At the absolute best, Biden has three years of professional experience outside of Washington and two of those years were spent as a county commissioner. For further reference and not incidentally, as a presidential candidate Biden faced serious and deserved criticism relating to his own truthfulness about his academic record and more than one accusation of plagiarism. Hmmm shady? Yes, statesmen? Hardly.
But, it can't be denied that Democrats embrace this fool, almost the same way they did Ted Kennedy, sadly clinging to his false and certainly damaging rhetoric and excusing him of any responsibility for it. "And that's Uncle Joe he's moving kinda slow"Y'all get it don't ya?
Lifelong politicians wishing to maintain power will repeatedly and unabashedly say anything to do so. Research the average career length of elected officials from the municipal to federal level and the results will not be astonishing. Democrats tend to make a lifetime career of politics, Republicans do not. Democrats sell the idea that their desire to stay in office is a sacrifice on their behalf for the greater good.
A Democrat is more likely to come from a law or education background, using those venues as the minor leagues before getting called up to the "Show". The Republican in politics is more than likely a successful small business man, entrepreneur, or corporate executive who actually has a real life to go back to after having the experience of sparring with professional politicians.
Joe Biden has never really done anything other than hold a public office; he hasn't the first clue about the reality most average people deal with daily. He may not even remember how to drive a car. For his entire adult life he has never had to fear a bad economy because he hasn't had to worry about his job and whether or not he will keep it. He has survived quite well regardless of the success or failure of the laws he proposed or rejected. The U.S. taxpayer has made it possible for him to live a life without the least bit of personal financial risk.
What we receive in return for all those years is a puppet mouthed Vice President without a soul who will stand in front of God and all of mankind, and without hesitation, lie about policy, the budget, the wars, and mostly his opposition. He has even insinuated that non- union workers are evil. What happens in the hearts of idiots that makes them fall for this?
Joe Biden is offensive and embarrassing to anyone with any respect for his office and is way beyond any excuse that a lifetime in Washington can cause a person's perception to get hazy, forget where they are and tell an inappropriate joke. The constant re-interpretation of the so-called Biden "Gaffes" is just more bull. I retract nothing I've said about the president but he isn't the M.V.P, Biden is the Most Valuable Phony in the Democrat Party.
The simple fact that Biden claims that he is Roman Catholic, and yet somehow reconciles this with his pro-abortion and same sex marriage position is ridiculous. Catholics do not support either belief. Biden is a convenient and strategic distraction for the Democrats and right now they certainly need it.
