HUGHESVILLE - The First National Bank, 2 S. Main St., was robbed by an unidentified white male at about 3:45 p.m. Monday.
No further description of the man is being released to the public at this time, according to Hughesville Police Chief Jason Gill.
Gill said the man did not display a weapon during the theft.
The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction, according to Gill.
He also said that earlier in the day, at about 12:45 p.m., a bank in Athens, Bradford County, was robbed.
"At this time, we do not believe those two incidents are connected," Gill said.
Further information is expected to be released today.
