I live on Northway Road onto 973, and I do a daily walk from my house down to the end of 973 and Warrensville Road and back up, and like many other places along the highway, there is a lot of trash along the highway. So the next day I grabbed two 13-gallon trash bags, a handful of latex gloves and started my walk and pick up. I picked up everything from soda and beer cans, plastic bottles and bags, plastic bucket, and yes, cigarette butts.
I know Mother Nature isn't always kind to us, but it made me feel good that I could help keep a little bit of America beautiful and help keep Mother Nature's garden trash-free. Would you like it if someone threw trash in your yard? I think not. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all be true Olympians and go for "the Green?"
