I read the article on Aug. 28 concerning the financial crisis in Europe with great interest. How this crisis is resolved will affect our country considerably. Much to my surprise, the Associated Press quoted Guido Westerwelle extensively on his concerns on the crisis. The AP informs us that Westerwelle is the finance minister of Germany. I would think the AP journalists in Berlin would know that a government minister by the name of Schaeuble is the finance minister! Westerwelle is the foreign affairs minister. Lack of such common knowledge negatively affects credibility of the AP. Ignorance is not bliss.
