It's time for "We the People" to set our own term limits for our elected representatives because our legislators will never do it. We don't need an act of Congress.
We can exercise our desire for term limits in the voting booth. I'm sure that our founding fathers never dreamed that elected officials would hold office for decades. The longer an office is held, the further removed one becomes from what I call "life in the real world."
The only way that things will change for the better is to remove career politicians from office and replace them with representatives that are there to truly serve their constituency, do their duty to their country, and "go home to the farm," as did our forefathers.
