Vivian M. Edler

Vivian M. Edler, 91, of English Center, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1920, the daughter of Thomas E. and Nellie E. Larson Roles.

Vivian was the wife of the late Ray M. Edler, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.

She was an avid horse lover and had owned many racehorses over the years.

Vivian had enjoyed many years of traveling the world.

She is survived by two sons, Del S. (Paula) Edler of English Center and Keith M. (Jeannie) Edler of Buttonwood; a sister, June E. Gregory of Sebring, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Vivian was predeceased by her husband in 1978 and by a son, Terry M. Edler, in 2011.

A graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the Oregon Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Fishel, Susquehanna Health Chaplain, officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, Pa.
