Troy Rod and Gun Club sets hunter education class
TROY - A hunter-trapper education program for youth ages 11 and older will be held 6-9 p.m. Sept. 10-12 at the Troy Intermediate School.
Students must attend all three classes.
Upon successful completion of the course, a card will be issued to allow the student to purchase a hunting license when he or she is 12.
To enroll, register online at www.pgc.state.pa.us. Click on "Education" and then "Hunter Trapper Education."
Registration also may be done at 5:30 the night of the first class.

Challenge of the Wolf - Shooters will challenge each other in this new competition that may be shot Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays upon request. Shoots must be monitored and supervised by Ken Baker, range officer. Distance is 20 yards with a .22-caliber LR handgun. Five shots are allowed in five minutes. Winners will be determined by most hits; winners will challenge one another for one final winner at the end of term. Contact the range to sign up.
