Announcement has been made of the engagement of Chelsea Maurice and Joel Holmes, both of Pittsburgh.
A summer 2013 wedding in Carlisle is being planned.
Maurice is the daughter of Donna and Doc Maurice, Carlisle. She graduated from Carlisle High School in 2008 and from University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work this year. She is employed by Allegheny County as a county caseworker.

Holmes is the son of Beth and Bryan Holmes, Danville. He is the grandson of Shirley and Carl Holmes, Hughesville; Ronald Miller, Hughesville; and Joanne Miller, Muncy. He graduated from Danville High School in 2008 and from University of Pittsburgh in 2011. He is employed by PNC Bank, Pittsburgh, as a software engineer.
