Inspections company gets 1 last chance in Hughesville

Locally elected and appointed officials voted on the following matters in the past week:

Municipal

Loyalsock Township supervisors voted to accept the withdrawal of land development plans for the Park Village independent living project along Poco Farm Road. A conditional-use permit still exists for the project. Voting in favor were Marc Sortman, Virginia Eaton,

John Bower, Jeff Rauff and Rick Wheeland. Supervisors also agreed to sell a used street sweeper at a cost of $40,000. Voting in favor were Sortman, Eaton, Bower, Rauff and Wheeland.

Hughesville Borough Council voted to keep Code Inspections Inc. on a trial basis until the end of the year, when it will determine if communications has improved. Voting in favor were Jeffery Berger, Andrew Mook, James Savage and Curtis Michael. Mary Burns and Richard Smith were absent.

School district

East Lycoming School District voted to accept its electronic policy to allow them when permitted in class for educational reasons and during lunch. Voting yes were Donna Gavitt, Richard Bradley, Amy Rogers, Kellie Shaner-Gordner and Richard L. Michael. Debra Sherlinski, Diane Santo and Lea Ann Hawk were absent.
