A 16-year-old city boy will be tried as an adult for allegedly robbing another male at gunpoint in the 1200 block of West Fourth Street on Wednesday, city police said.
Rodney Derrick Jordan, of 326 Locust St., is accused of robbing Darius Walker Jr., an acquaintance, of his iPod, cellphone and a pack of cigarettes about 11:15 p.m., police said. The victim was able to show police Jordan's picture on Facebook, according to an affidavit.
Jordan surrendered early Thursday morning to police headquarters and was arraigned before District Judge James Carn on charges of robbery, possession of a firearm as a minor, possession of an instrument of crime, carrying a firearm without a license, theft and receiving stolen property. He was committed to the Lycoming County in lieu of $100,000 bail.
