Homeless man allegedly used broken light to threaten nurse

A homeless man who threatened to harm himself at Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., faces charges for allegedly threatening a nurse with a broken fluorescent tube light on Aug. 21, city police said.

Duane Edward Ishler, 37, has been charged with terroristic threats and possession of a prohibitive offensive weapon. Following his arraignment before District Judge James H. Sortman on Aug. 22, he was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
