Rose Marie Krause, 86, of Muncy Valley, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.
Born July 6, 1926, in Muncy Valley, Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Myrtle Strickland Remsnyder. Her husband of 28 years, Joseph B. "Butch" Krause, preceded her in death on April 2, 1983.
Rose enjoyed gardening and crafts and was a member of the Valley United Methodist Church and the Muncy Valley Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty L. (Ken) Harner of Valley View and Lisa M. (Sam) Altemose of Muncy Valley; two granddaughters, Brandy R. (Scott) Savage and Shannon M. (Bill) Wagner; three great- grandchildren, Morgan S. Savage, Jefferson S. Savage and Mason J. Wagner; and extended family, Rudy (Sharon) Remsnyder.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey L. Krause; two daughters, Robin J. and Kim J. Krause; a grandson, Eric S. Little; a niece, Vicki S. Remsnyder; a sister, Betty L. Remsnyder; and a brother, Frank E. Remsnyder Jr.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Valley United Methodist Church, 1874 Route 220, Muncy Valley, with the Rev. Craig Livermore officiating. A private burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
