William C. Hillman, 69, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 28, 1943, in Williamsport, he was a son of W. C. Hillman and Emma Rose (Eck) Hillman. Bill married Vivian L. Schroyer on Oct. 22, 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Todd R. Hillman, in 2008 and parents-in-law, Walter A. and Lydia M. Schroyer.
Bill graduated from Williamsport High School in 1960 and from Williamsport Technical Institute in 1962. He worked at Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post, N.Y., from 1962 to 1978, and then at Andritz in Muncy for the last 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, bowling and golf.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Vivian, are a son, Michael W. (Kimberly) Hillman of Williamsport; eight grandchildren, Katelynn, Rachel, Caleb, Chase, Colton, Dylan, Mason and Gavin; three sisters, Sharon (Frank) DeLarme of DuBois, Gert Hillman of Lewes, Del., and Brenda Pellerite of Phillipsburg; a brother, Frank R. (Linda) Hillman of McKinney, Texas; a brother-in-law, Stanley A. Schroyer of Drums; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Montoursville Cemetery.
