Mr. and Mrs. Rayburn Webster, Cogan Station, will observe their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 11, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Ralph Ebert at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Quiggleville, where they are members.
Mrs. Webster, the former Marian Hornberger, is a native of Cogan Station. She is the daughter of the late Ethel and Edward Hornberger. She graduated from the former Hepburn Township High School in 1942 and was employed by Sharwell Manufacturing for 16 years.

Mr. Webster, a native of Snedekerville, is the son of the late Helen and Dean Webster. He graduated from the former Hepburn Township High School in 1942 and served 2 1/2 years in the Air Force during World War II. He retired from Textron Lycoming after 38 years of service.
They are the parents of a son, Terry, Waterville, and two daughters, Linda Kressly, Hammondsport, N.Y., and Holly Tagliaferri, Linden.
There are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. They were predeceased by a great-grandson.
In honor of their anniversary, an open house was held in their honor at their church.
