Stephen L. Bierly, 51, of 157 Peppermint Lane, Julian, Pa., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born May 8, 1961, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Harold L. Bierly Sr. and the former Mary Lou Mitchell.
For 16 years, he was employed by Cerro Metal and was currently employed by Coca Cola. Stephen honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his ex-wife, the former Cynthia O. Owens; one son, Tyler S. (Diana Banks) Bierly of Julian; one stepson, Sean C. (Jennifer) Pickering of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Chris, Alex, Lacie, Kimmie and Colby; one brother, Harold L. Bierly Jr. of Pheonix, Ariz.; and one stepbrother, Wayne L. Bierly of Muncy.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother and father, and a stepdaughter, Shannon Pickering.
Memorial services will be Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at 4 p.m. in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, corner of Thompson and South Broad streets, Jersey Shore.
