Lies

September 9, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

During the Democratic Convention I tuned in to see President Clinton's speech and was outraged. While he said that he wanted the re-election of President Obama and that Romney would be bad for the country, I feel one line of the speech was completely uncalled for. When he said that the Republican Party had been taken over by the "extreme right wing", a.k.a. Tea Party, and that they hated this president.

I am sick of being labeled a "hater" because I am a conservative. And, of course, the liberal media will pick up the lie and gleefully advance this line of thought. I knew from the outset that if America elected any president that was a minority, especially a Democrat, the race card would be played anytime the Republican Party didn't agree with the Democrats. And what have we had since the 2008 Presidential campaign? Five years of "race-baiting".

Our country has so many grave problems and yet we have politicians and militias ripping us apart because of skin color. MLK said " the content of their character, not the color of their skin". Those who would reverse that message are the real "haters".
