Roundup: Sabanovic leads Muncy back from 1-0 deficit

After falling behind by one goal early in the first half, Muncy responded with two goals in a seven-minute span to defeat Southern Columbia, 2-1, in boys soccer on Saturday. Ammar Sabanovic had two assists in the win for the Indians.

Three different Troy players scored in a 3-1 victory over previously unbeaten Liberty.

Loyalsock scored six times in the first 21 minutes and rested most of its starters later on in an 8-1 victory over Mount Carmel.

In girls tennis, undefeated Loyalsock lost just four games in five matches of a 5-0 victory over Lewisburg.

Montgomery's Kiana Gough defeated Bloomsburg's Ivy-Rose Kramer at No. 1 singles and the Red Raiders (5-3) defeated Bloomsburg, 5-1.

In cross country, Daniel Starr's second-place finish led Penn College's men to a victory in the 6K meet at Penn State Scranton Worthington.

In women's soccer, Lock Haven scored three unanswered goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to defeat Robert Morris, 3-2. Nakira Downes had three assists for Lock Haven and three Bald Eagles scored.

In field hockey, No. 7 Kutztown fell on the road to Mansfield, 4-1. Brianna Velepec scored twice for Mansfield (3-0).

In college volleyball, Lock Haven split its two matches at the LHU Classic, defeating Alderson-Broaddus in the first match, 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-17) before falling to Ashland, 3-1 (16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 16-25). Lock Haven's Alexa Garrity tallied 29 assists.

Amber Seibel had 19 kills to lead Lycoming's volleyball team on the second day of the Dickinson Invitational as the Warriors split two matches. The Warriors lost their first to Michigan-Dearborn, 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-17), before defeating Penn State Altoona, 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-15).

Senior Michelle Herman took 13th to lead Lycoming's cross country team at the Dutchmen Cross Country Invitational. Herman led the Lycoming women to an eighth-place finish while the men were led by freshman Peter Rittenhouse's 50th-place finish.

At the Flatland Invitational, Mansfield's Jess Scordino finished first overall as teammates Kristy Scordino and Savannaah Boucher took second and third, respectively, to lead the Mountaineers.
