Beginning on Sept. 24, permits will be available for hunting on selected days on portions of the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority watershed.
The watershed will be open to four days of deer hunting on Dec. 1, 6, 7 and 8 and two days of bear hunting Nov. 17 and Dec. 1.
Hunters must obtain and be in possession of a valid 2012 hunting permit issued by the authority at its office, 253 W. Fourth St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Hunters must supply their valid year 2012 hunting license in order to apply for the permit.
Parents must co-sign for children under 18 and may pick up permits for their children, bringing in their valid 2012 hunting license.
Maps of restricted areas and designated hunting and parking areas will be provided.
Those wishing to take an antlerless deer must also have a state Game Commission Wildlife Management Unit 4D antlerless license or a DMAP harvest permit for the authority property, Unit 775.
The watershed will be closed to visitors Nov. 17, 19, 21, 26-30, along with Dec. 1-8, except on Sundays.
Only hunters with the issued permits will be allowed in the watershed on Nov. 17, Dec. 1, 6-8.
No other hunting is allowed on authority property at any time.
