Carl F. Waldman, 75, a resident of Loyalsock Township, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.
Carl was born in Williamsport on Nov. 11, 1936, the son of Joseph F. and Helen M. Engler Waldman.
He is a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School. An avid hunter he was known to his friends as "Ace Hunter" Carl, was a fan of NASCAR and Joe Gibb Racing.

He was a retired salesman from the Sears Roebuck & Co. department store. He was a member of the Sunnyside Hunting Club, Gesang Verin Harmonia Club, the Keystone League, the Polish Club, and a former member of the Loyalsock Township Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Williamsport Volunteer Police Force.
He was a member of the Marine Corp League and served in the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1965.
His wife of 45 years, the former Carol A. McGonnell, survives him. He is also survived by his children, Carla (Andy) Ahlberg of Manassas, Va., Michele (Edward) Miller of Odenton, Md., and Holly (Matt) Carrico of Bel Air, Md. Grandchildren surviving include Caroline, Joseph and Isaac Carl Miller; Ethan and Vivian Carrico; and Brook and Ashley Ahlberg. Carl is survived by his sisters and brothers, Sister Helen Joseph Waldman of Danville, Ann Deichmann of Metairie, La., Bernard (Mary Ann) Waldman and James F. Waldman, both of this city. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Dorothy Waldman, Rita Hall and George Waldman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. His pastor, the Rev. Paul Fontanella, will officiate. Friends may call at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central PA Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, 17 S. 19th St., Box 668, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
