Franklin C. Sones, 65, of East Ninth Street, Watsontown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born in Muncy on Sept. 6, 1947, he was the son of Walter and Sadie Chamberlin Sones of Muncy. On July 6, 1968, he married the former Bonnie K. Raup and celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Frank retired from PennDOT in 2000 after 35 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Foreman and was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

VETERAN
Frank was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, long drives, visiting the campgrounds and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving, besides his wife, Bonnie, and parents are a daughter, Lori L. (Roger) Long of Milton; brothers, Bruce (Kay) Sones of Muncy and Roger (Bonnie) Sones of Huntersville; sisters, Kathy (Lloyd) Hubberd of Muncy and Gloria Mingle of Turbotville; a sister-in-law, Sharan Sones of Turbotville; grandchildren, Kristen Lloyd, Cotten and Kyle Anderson, Loran and Miranda Metzger and Nicole Long; great-grandchildren, Kaeley and Kaetie Lloyd and Ava Anderson.
Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Sones.
No services or visitation at the request of the family. Family suggests contributions in Frank's memory be made to the Friendship Baptist Church, 10 Voris Lane, Watsontown, PA 17777.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown.
