Beatrice L. Doebler, 92, formerly of 35 Eldred St., Williamsport, Pa., passed away at the Williamsport Home on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012. She was the wife of the late Herman A. Doebler (April 22, 1996), with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Beatrice was born on March 21, 1920, in Coblenz, Germany, and was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Katharina Geisen Harstead.
Beatrice was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a life member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Eastern Star Chapter 481. Beatrice worked as a quality control inspector for Sylvania of Montoursville and retired in April 1986.

Beatrice is survived by a son, H. Andrew and his wife, Wendy Doebler, of Holly Springs, N.C.; two brothers, Charles A. Harstead Jr. of South Williamsport, Donald Harstead of Watsontown, Pa.; and by a sister, Ida Conover of Dunedin, Fla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Beatrice's Life Celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, Pa. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth R. Elkin officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, Pa.
Family will provide flowers so that memorial contributions could be sent to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 142 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
