A city man faces charges after allegedly injuring his wife during an argument on Friday night.

Allen E. Nash, 37, of 2613 Dove St. was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment after police responded to a report of a domestic assault at Nash's residence.

There Nykeana Nash told officers that she and her husband had argued.

During the argument, Allan Nash allegedly "punched her in the torso, kicked her in the legs, and then pushed her violently through a closed basement door," according to court records.

She "tumbled down the wooden basement steps and landed on the concrete floor" and hurt her arms, back, collar bone and ankle, police added.

Nykeana Nash was transported by ambulance to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center where she received treatment for her injuries, which included a "possible broken clavicle" and a "sprained or broken ankle," according to court records.

The husband was arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on Sunday. He remains incarcerated in lieu of $7,500 bail.
