Dakota Rosenberg scored off a pass by Gino Caschera to tie the game up, but it was Benton's Tyler Avery who scored the game winner late in the game to down the Mounties, 2-1.
Elias George scored twice for Warrior Run as the Defenders defeated Montoursville, 5-1. The Defenders recorded 15 shots in the win. Montoursville's Troy Hampton scored at 25:00 to cut the deficit to 2-1.
St. John Neumann picked up its first win thanks to a 6-2 win over Montgomery. The Knights' Anthony Pasnello recorded three goals in the win.
Williamsport goalie Tanner Pysher had four saves, but let one get through as Mifflinburg defeated the Millionaires, 1-0.
Chris Learn scored a goal and assisted Curt Heck on another as Williamson beat Hammondsport, 2-1. Kyle Colegrove made five saves for Williamson.
In girls tennis, Cowanesque Valley blanked Wellsboro, 7-0, thanks to a solid performance by the Indians' Marissa Kump at No. 3 singles, defeating Wellsboro's Kiana Acorn, 6-0, 6-0.
Milton swept the doubles competition to defeat Jersey Shore, 3-2. Megan Rudloff won at No. 1 singles.
Shannon Loftus and Debbie McGinnis won at No. 2 doubles for Lewisburg, but Selinsgrove won all the rest to defeat the Green Dragons, 4-1, to drop Lewisburg to 1-8.
Maggie Manchester won at No. 1 singles over Montoursville Nicole Paine, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, to help Williamsport win, 3-2.
Liberty's Katey McCloskey defeated Galeton's April Howell, 6-0, 6-0, to help lead Liberty to a 4-3 win. Savannah Alexyn won for Liberty at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1, over Kelly Murray.
Megan Rudloff blanked Jersey Shore's Brianne Renner, 6-0, 6-0, to help Milton win, 3-2.
Hughesville came away with a 5-0 win over Muncy thanks to Kelsey McCable's No. 1 win, 6-1, 6-1, over Muncy's Kelly Reed.
Undefeated Loyalsock cruised past Bloomsburg, 5-0.
All five Montgomery singles players and doubles teams won their matches in straight sets as the Red Raiders thumped Central Columbia, 5-0. Sydney Schoch highlighted the win with a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles, 6-4 and 7-5 over Anna Lewis.
In golf, Sam Bubb shot a 79 at a meet at the Williamsport Country Club to lead area golfers. John McClain shot an 82 for the Millionaires while Loyalsock's Taylor Krout shot an 83 and Aaron Fink shot an 88.
Meanwhile at the Berwick Country Club, Montgomery/Muncy's Alex Worthington led area golfers with a 79 while Milton's Katie Behnert shot an 89. Danville's Austin Renz had a 75 to lead all golfers at the meet.
Penn College had seven different players score in a 7-0 shutout of Valley Forge Christian in men's soccer to improve to 2-1-1.
