Our politicians, campaigning for office, have great ideas on how to create jobs. But, once elected, these ideas seem to go down the toilet. They always blame the other party instead of working together. Nobody wants to take responsibility for the lack of action. If they are serious about creating jobs, they can start by bringing them back from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia.
Recently, Corning Glass was touted as a growing company because of tourism job creation. Corning Glass developed a new technology called gorilla glass. It's a new scratch-resistant glass used in computers, cell phones, televisions, and now they are sending the technology and the bulk of the jobs overseas because, as they say, that's where the biggest demand is.
I don't understand why American companies do this. We need to keep jobs and technology in this country.
