Kathleen Elizabeth Rachel Strausbaugh, 70, of 1158 Back Road, Allenwood, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at her home.
Born July 17, 1942, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas David and Helen (Gatens) Reese. On Jan. 28, 1961, she married Norman E. Strausbaugh Jr., who survives. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Kathleen was a 1960 graduate of York Catholic High School. For over 15 years she worked as a quality control supervisor at York Snacks.

Kathleen was a devout catholic.
She loved her home, the peacefulness of the outdoors and flower gardening. Kathleen enjoyed taking care of her children as they grew up. She was also fond of salt water fishing at Norman's sister's home, shopping, antiquing and her cat Lilly.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Norman Strausbaugh and wife Theresa of Bridgeville, Pa.; one daughter, Kristine Sharp of Slidell, La.; four siblings, Suzanne Judge and husband Daniel of Cape May Courthouse, N.J., Thomas D. Reese Jr. and wife Patricia of New Hope, Helene Reese of Collinsdale and Maryanne Sassy of Drexel Hill; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Sterner and husband Glenn of Millsboro, Del.; five grandchildren, Samantha Moore, Timothy Moore, Jessica Strausbaugh, Amanda Strausbaugh and Jadyn Sharp; and one great-granddaughter, Kerah Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Ruthanne Busch and one son-in-law, Nelson Sharp.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Kathleen's name be made to Sun Home Health and Hospice, 1601 Sycamore Road, Montoursville, PA 17754.
