Roundup: South girls top Montgomery

September 11, 2012
From staff reports , Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The South Williamsport girls took a big step in the right directions with a 5-1 win Tuesday over Montgomery. And as impressive as the win was, it was more about how the Mounties went about earning the victory that was impressive.

After going up 1-0 on a Kelcey Coppola goal, Montgomery responed with a goal of its own to tie the contest. Kiara Fry tallied the unassisted goal.

It wasn't long before South Williamsport restored a one-goal lead thanks to Chelsea Ripple, who took a Samantha Hilsher feed and put it to the back of the net.
