HUGHESVILLE - Borough officials need people to consider assisting during emergencies and natural disasters on the borough emergency management team.
Borough Council Monday night heard from Mayor Walter Reed about the need for the spots to be filled. The emergency management workers are volunteers who are under Reed and, in coordination with the county Emergency Management Agency when disasters, natural or man-made, take place.

The borough needs to replace a used dump truck and is looking at vehicle bids.
