Teressa I. ‘Tess’ Renner

Mrs. Teressa I. "Tess" Renner, of Altoona, formerly of Williamsport, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Renner was born in Sugar Valley, Pa., on March 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Jerome and Laura (Poorman) Slaterbeck.

She retired in 2011 as a cashier at Super Duper/Lowes Grocery Store, Muncy, Pa., with 13 years of service.

She was a member of 405 Church of God, Montgomery, Pa.

She is survived by three children, Pam Slaterbeck of Mill Hall, Pa., Dean Rockey Jr. of Hughesville, Pa., and Tina Clark of Altoona, Pa., with whom she resided; a sister, Florence Toner of Loganton, Pa. Mrs. Renner is also survived by five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Art, Emily and Amber; and eight great-grandchildren, Kane, Kameron, Karter, Tucker, Nina, Mykayla, Kylie and Sam. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Hiram Slaterbeck.

A memorial service will be held at 7008 Route 405, 405 Church of God, Montgomery, PA 17752, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, with Pastor Isaac Wilson officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
