A Lycoming County Prison inmate faces assault charges for allegedly attacking a counselor at the jail on Aug. 20, according to county Detective A.E. Diaz.
Terra Marie Swope, 34, of 2729 W. Fourth St., allegedly grabbed hold of counselor Rhonda Ulrich's arm and began shaking her, Diaz said in an affidavit.
Swope was meeting with Ulrich and became very upset with what the counselor was telling her and lunged toward Ulrich after a corrections officer ordered the inmate back to her cell, Diaz said.
Swope has been jailed since mid-May for allegedly assaulting a Hope Enterprise employee and a doctor in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She had been taken to the hospital after a confrontation with her caregiver in the group home where she lives, city police said.
Swope was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Allen P. Page III on a new set of charges, including aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
She remains jailed in lieu of an additional $10,000 bail.
