September 13, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

TOWANDA - State police have charged Tiffany L. Rose, 24, of Athens, with allegedly stealing two gift cards worth a total of $1,000 in July.

According to police, Rose was charged with two counts each of theft by deception, retail theft and receiving stolen property following a police investigation into the thefts in Ulster Township and Towanda Borough July 25 and July 26.

Police said Rose was captured on video surveillance at the stores, both Dandy Mini-Marts, as she duped the clerks by switching the activated cards with others that she took from the rack at the same time, but did not activate.

She was released on non-monetary bail after arraignment in district court in Towanda Monday. Her preliminary hearing is next week.
