Henry J. ‘Hank’ Stutz

Henry J. "Hank" Stutz, 70, of Woodward Township, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 26, 1942, in Shamokin, the son of Stanley H. and Dorothy F. Stutz.

Hank graduated from Coal Township High School, attended Bloomsburg University, and retired from Hartman Agency, Inc., where he was an executive. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the Williamsport Country Club and the PA Insurance Association. Henry was an avid golfer and fisherman, who loved hunting and the outdoors. He was also an avid Penn State Football fan.

He is survived by his wife, the former Donna L. Kostka, with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage with on July 6; a son, Christopher T. (Marni) of Calgary, Canada; a daughter, Jennifer D. Brokaw of Hebron, Conn.; a brother, John D. of California; and four grandchildren, Tyler John Stutz, Paige, Jade and Chace Brokaw.

Hank was predeceased by his parents, and by a brother, Robert P. Stutz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with Msgr. Stephen D. McGough as celebrant. Private interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the family will provide the flowers. Contributions may be made to the Henry and Donna Stutz Scholarship Fund, c/o Penn College Foundation Office, One College Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Arrangements are by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
