Elizabeth Estella Harris, 89, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Valley View Nursing Home.
She was born July 27, 1923, in Williamsport, the daughter of Robert Cummings and Helen Pearl (Tobin) Richards.
Elizabeth was the wife of the late Carl Houser who passed in 1952 and the late Arnold "Dub" Franklin Harris who passed in 1978.
Elizabeth loved to cook and enjoyed doing so in many local clubs.
But her true way of passing time was reading, playing the lottery and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Leo (Shirley) Houser of Jacksonville, Fla., and Karl N. Houser of Bellefonte, Pa.; three daughters, Lizelle (Joe) Mulcahy, Christie A. (Kenneth) Ridgley, both of Williamsport, and Melodee G. (Scott) Snyder of Montoursville; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, also survived by one brother, Robert Richards of Manor, Texas.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, a brother and sister.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
Elizabeth's Life Celebration will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
