Fred H. Otterbein Sr., 94, of The Meadows, passed away Sept. 12, 2012, at the Gatehouse. Born on Jan. 4, 1918, in Williamsport, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Otterbein.
On Nov. 23, 1939, he married Betty Stabley, who survives. Together they celebrated 72 years of marriage. He was a graduate of St. Boniface High School. He worked at Avco Lycoming and retired after 33 years of service. He enjoyed his family, fishing and woodworking. He was a World War II veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his four children, Ann Frearer, Williamsport, Fred Otterbein Jr. (Frances), Oval, Gerald, Muncy, Eugene (Jackie), Picture Rocks; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Carl and one sister, Sylvia.

VETERAN
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Church, 326 Washington Blvd.
