Lois J. Metzger, 77, of 305 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at her residence. She was born March 23, 1935, in Montoursville a daughter of Richard and Ruth (Maneval) Kreidler.
Lois retired from the former GTE Sylvania in Montoursville. She was a member of the Mary Muffins Red Hat Society and enjoyed making and selling crafts at a variety of craft shows. She also spent many enjoyable hours with her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children.
Lois is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with on May 19; three daughters, Carrie R. (Harold) Mosteller III of Cogan Station, Cheryl E. (David) Angle of Montoursville, and Loretta K. (Mark) Maines of Morrisdale, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Rhone of Oklahoma; eight grand- children and four great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Glenn Kreider.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Richard M. Barner officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
