A funeral service celebrating the life of Beatrice M. Frahn, 94, of Newark, formerly of Williamsport, Pa., will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville, Ohio, with Pastor Jeff Belt as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Union Cemetery in Liberty, Pa.
Bea died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Newark. She was born March 21, 1918, in Arnot, Pa., to the late Charles and Jennie (Stewart) Landis.
A former employee of Weldon's and the former, Sylvania's, Bea was a member of the Women's Auxillary of the U.S. Post Office. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who also enjoyed her feline companion, Ellie.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Kay Frahn of Granville and Ronald and Susie Frahn of Newark; grandchildren, Dan, Greg, Craig, Jennifer, Jeff and Erik; great-grandchildren, Brandyn, Danyelle, Steven, Kaeli, Ashley, Paige, Kelsey, Colin, Shane, Emily and Sarah; and brother and sister-in-law, H. Dale and Mary Landis.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Frahn, who died June 15, 2005; one sister and three brothers.
