Catharine Jane Haas, 54, of Montoursville, died suddenly, Sept. 15, 2012, following several years of health problems.
She was a graduate of Montoursville High School, where she excelled in gymnastics. After graduating from Empire Beauty School, she worked for many years as a beautician.
She raised Sheltie dogs and had a life-long interest in gardening, which she shared with her late stepfather, Monroe K. "Mike" Lukens.

She is survived by her mother, Jane E. Lukens, Montoursville; two brothers, Thomas A. Reed (Debra), College Park, Md.; Timothy C. Haas (Darlyn), Williamsport; and longtime friend, David Lightcap, Montoursville.
A graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date.
