Ret. Army Command Sgt. Major (CSM) Ernest D. Bradley, 83, passed away on Aug. 27, 2012, at his home in Newnan, Ga., formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., after a valiant fight against cancer.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service (Open House) will be held at the home of his daughter, Cindy Price, and husband, John, 13 Woodland Drive, Newnan, GA 30263, on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, from noon until 6 p.m.
We have lost a wonderful husband, father, grandad, brother, uncle and friend - we will miss him dearly.
Ernest was stationed in Germany (twice) where he met his love, Ingeborg, also in Korea (twice) and numerous bases throughout the United States. He served in the Reserves and also worked with the American Embassy in Russia. Dad loved God, his country, family, friends and also enjoyed his birds, garden and anything to do with nature.
Ernest was married 55 years to his surviving wife, Ingeborg K. Bradley; son, Ted Bradley and wife, Lydia of Eustis, Fla.; daughter, Cindy Bradley Price and husband, John of Newnan, Ga.; grandchildren, Tim Bradley of Plantation, Fla., Chris Bradley of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Danielle, Kaitlyn and John Jr. Price of Newnan, Ga.; sisters, Norma Confer of Muncy, Pa., and Doris Van Horn of Sacramento, Calif.; and a loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins and host of many, many friends. He was raised in Unityville, Pa., where he proudly returned yearly for visits and reunions with family and friends.
A very special thank you goes out to Geniva Hospice of Newnan, Ga. They shared our heartache as well as very special moments.
