Robert M. Taylor, 90, of Acton, Mass., died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Georgiann (Peasley) Taylor, and is also survived by four children, Jack Geelen and wife, Barbara, of Selma, N.C., Curt Geelen and wife, Joanne, of Pepperell, Mass., George Geelen of Concord, Mass., and Barbara Furbeck and husband, Carl, of Groton, Mass.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Born and raised in Cogan House, he was the son of the late Arthur Lee and Margaret (Maxwell) Taylor, and younger brother of the late Arthur L. Taylor Jr. Mr. Taylor served honorably in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II. He graduated from Syracuse and was a career-long employee of GTE/Sylanvia.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Acton Congregational Church, 12 Concord Road, Acton, Mass. Private graveside services were in Woodlawn Cemetery in Acton.
