Lycoming County Judge Dudley N. Anderson was recently elected President of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges at a meeting in Hershey.
The organization is comprised of 450 trial judges sitting throughout the state. Anderson is the first judge from Lycoming County to be named to the position.
The conference advances the interests of state trial judges through continuing education and professional development, offers ethics training and advice and assists new judges in transitioning to the bench.
Additionally, the conference represents trial judges in continuing dialogue with the appellate courts of Pennsylvania and the Legislature.
Anderson has been serving as a judge in Lycoming County for nearly 15 years and has served seven years on the State Judges Ethics Committee.
