Francis Allen Winters, 82, of Shelocta, Pa., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
He was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Williamsport, the son of Joseph and Winnifred (Riggle) Winters.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Fleming) Winters; son, Rebbie Earl Beere and wife, Faye, of Shelocta; grandsons, Cody Beere and Kevin Beere; great-granddaughters, Aubree and Camrynn Beere; brothers, Carlton Winters and wife, Shirley, of Kentucky and Lawley Winters, of Williamsport; sister, June Overdorff, of Williamsport; brother-in-law, Jay Rank, of Lewistown; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Winters, of Williamsport.

Allen was predeceased by his parents; brother, Martin Winters; and sisters, Waldine Holmes and Cathy Rank.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., Elderton, Pa.
Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Curry Run Cemetery, Shelocta, where full military honors will be presented by the American Legion Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made in Allen's honor to the Shelocta Presbyterian Church.
