Two fugitives wanted for allegedly shooting to death a 23-year-old man in Flanigan Park one night in July were captured Wednesday night in Philadelphia, Williamsport police confirmed late Thursday night.
Raymarr Daquan Alford, 17, 1048 Hepburn St., and Qu Mar Dashon Moore, 22, of 802 Hepburn St., were brought back here Thursday to face charges of allegedly gunning down Kevan Connelly, of Williamsport, in the 700 block of Memorial Avenue about 7:15 p.m. July 9.
At the time of the shooting, the park was packed with more than 100 spectators who were watching basketball games, according to police.

The gunmen specifically had targeted Connelly, police said, but no information has been released on why they set out to kill him in a park filled with people.
On the morning following the homicide, city police Agent Raymond O. Kontz III said, "This was not a random shooting. The two (gunmen) and the victim knew one another. They knew who they were going after."
In court papers, investigators said Connelly and his brother were playing basketball when they were "confronted" by four men who approached them. Two of the men later were identified as Alford and Moore.
When the brothers attempted to leave the park, Alford and Moore "pulled out handguns and began shooting," investigators allege. Connelly was rushed to nearby Williamsport Regional Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m.
It was believed that Moore and Alford fled to Elizabeth, N.J., where they have ties, police said. Details about how they landed in Philadelphia were not known.
City police Capt. Timothy Miller said he was told Philadelphia officers, while conducting a drug investigation, were tipped off that the two fugitives were inside a home, believed to be in the southwest section of the city. Miller said the pair were captured without incident.
The two men were at police headquarters awaiting to be arraigned before District Judge James H. Sortman on homicide and related offenses. Because bail in not an option with homicide cases in the state, the two automatically will be placed in the Lycoming County Prison.
