Convicted shoplifter Courtney L. Powell, 21, of 910 Poplar St., walked into Kmart on East Third Street, grabbed a purse that was for sale and started to stuff it with other store merchandise about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, state police alleged in court papers.
Upon being captured inside the Loyalsock Township store, Powell, already on probation for a shoplifting conviction, was arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III on a felony shoplifting offense and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of bail.
