A Bradford County man has been arraigned on charges of allegedly assaulting his mother-in-law outside her Loyalsock Township home and smashing out the rear window of her car, state police said.
Kurtis A. Barnes, 22, of Stevensville, is accused of punching Elizabeth Ann Morehart five times in the face and once in the back of the head in the 900 block of Starr Road about 2:50 a.m. Sept. 2, police said.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment, Barnes was released on $5,000 bail.
